May

5th Cinco de Mayo
Cinco de Mayo commemorates the Mexican victory over the French Empire at the Battle of Puebla on May 5, 1862. Contrary to popular belief, it's not Mexico's Independence Day, but rather a celebration of resilience and bravery. ¡Viva México!

12th Mother's Day
Mother's Day is a day to honor and celebrate the incredible mothers in our lives. Did you know? The modern Mother's Day holiday was first celebrated in 1908 when Anna Jarvis held a memorial for her mother in the United States.

27th Memorial Day
Memorial Day, originally called Decoration Day, honors those who died in military service. It also symbolizes the start of summer, celebrated with barbecues and beach trips, but it's crucial to pause and reflect on the sacrifices made for our freedoms.

June

14th Flag Day
Flag Day celebrates the adoption of the US flag on June 14, 1777. Originating from a Wisconsin schoolteacher's ceremony in 1885, it's a day to honor the flag's significance. Fly those stars and stripes proudly!

16th Father's Day
Father's Day, established in the early 20th century to complement Mother's Day, celebrates fathers and father figures. Originating in Spokane, Washington, in 1910, it's a time to show gratitude and affection for the dads in our lives.

19th Juneteenth
Juneteenth, celebrated on June 19th, marks the end of slavery in the United States following Union General Gordon Granger's announcement in 1865. It's a day to recognize the ongoing struggle for equality and freedom for all Americans.

July

4th Independence Day
Independence Day, or the Fourth of July, marks the adoption of the Declaration of Independence in 1776, declaring independence from Great Britain. John Adams envisioned it as a day of grand celebration, including parades and fireworks.
